With T-Day down, its time to get decorated for Christmas, Hannakah, and Solstice/Yule!

Of course, when we moved, we ditched 95% of our holiday stuff. With a smaller home and no business we decided to do a smaller, and nicer, displays. I am doing up the living room and the doorway. Here are some pics of inside and out!

I had a reallllly busy past few days, so I had to take today to rest up and recover. IU lay down until I start to fall asleep, then I try to get up to stay awake.

Last night my beloved Medieval Son came over to visit here at Area 51, and he decided that a game would be fun. He picked one of my favorite two player games, Battlelore. This is a most awesome field tactics game with a hundreds of greatly detailed army figurines, terrain tiles, etc of good quality.

I invited some folks over to play games or watch movies friday, and its the perfect excuse to dig into the stack of boxes in the Den, where the table and chairs will go.  SHannon and I set up the table to do some beadwork, but if we want four people comfy I needed to get those boxes finished.

Ruth inspired me to try making an icon of my own.  Here it is :)

Generic but fun.  I might try one next with an alien and make it more goofy :)

Last Friday at Palouse Board Gamers I had my birthday party, or as I call it out of defiance for my health, my "not dead yet day".  All my friends made it so wonderful and I really treasured the evening.  I hope everyone enjoyed their door prizes, and I sure loved the thoughtful gifts from Elecktra and Ruth and my Parental Units ( Read more... )

We are set up in our new home. We have been trying to decide what to call it, since we are now out of House Solstice (sniff).  Ruth finally hit on the PERFECT name:

AREA 51

Since that is our apartment number-- 51.
